The company employs first-class specialists, experts in their field. Initially, craftsmen from the Ulba Metallurgical Plant worked at the Mint, and now these professionals form the core of our team.

We use modern technologies and work with the equipment of leading European companies. Casting, rolling, striking, cutting, application of numerous coatings – we use all these methods in the production of unique products.

Our technology

Regarding our production, the preferred approach is the minting of coins with subsequent artistic processing. For this, enameling, selective gilding, antique oxidation are used. Gems can be inserted into the products, which transform the medal or coin into a work of art. Pad and digital printing are also used for decorative purposes. And the presence of an accredited laboratory for the examination of precious metals guarantees the quality and purity of precious metals, which are used for the manufacture of coins and other products of the Kazakhstan Mint.

We pay special attention to protection against counterfeiting. To provide this we apply such technologies such as microtext, milled edge, edge lettering, hidden holographic image.

Varieties of products

Specialists of the Kazakhstan Mint are engaged in the manufacture of national currency in the form of coins of the following varieties:

• circulating coins from base metal alloys and galvanized steel blanks.
• bullion coins.
• commerative coins from base and precious metals.

Our country is the only country where tantalum coins are made. In 2011, our company became the owner of an innovative patent for the production of coins with tantalum inserts. At the same time, we own technologies for changing the color of tantalum, which opens up wide possibilities for product design.

Today we fully provide the state with bargaining chips, which in their characteristics are not inferior to European ones.  Along with the usual bargaining chips, we produce truly unique products, for example, silver and gold coins weighing from 0.5 to 2 kg.

Our products meet high international standards, which is confirmed by experts at the prestigious international coin exhibition, which is organized every year in Berlin (Germany).

It was to the Kazakhstan Mint that the Presidential Administration entrusted the production of the most important state awards of the Republic. Our craftsmen create high-quality orders and medals, which are real works of jewelry.
